The Watchmen

The Watchmen are an alternative rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The Watchmen were formed in 1988 in Winnipeg, Manitoba with:

• Daniel Greaves
• Joey Serlin
• Pete Loewen
• Sammy Kohn

They came up with the name The Watchmen because Joey Serlin is a comic fan and chose the name from DC comic of the same name.

The Watchmen were one of the most commercially successful Canadian alternative rock groups of the mid to late 1990s.

The Watchmen achieved three gold records for the albums:

• McLaren Furnace Room
• Silent Radar
• Slomotion

And one platinum for

• In The Trees

The Watchmen has toured Canada numerous times and has been the opening act for The Tragically Hip and co-headlined on a tour with Big Wreck.
